Ancient ; Panchala Dynasty ; Monarchical Coinage ; Yajnabala (100 CE), Alloyed Copper 1/4 Karshapana, Obv: three royal symbols of the Panchala dynasty and the Brahmi legend “Yajnabalasa” below, Rev: a trident and a chahatra on a platform, traces of an another symbol, 2.58g, 15.89mm, (Unlisted), about Extremely fine, Very Rare.

Note: Krishna Mohan Shrimali in his book History of Panchala recorded an early king called Yajnapala, but here the legend clearly reads ‘Yajnabala’. The fabric is of a later type and matching with late issues of Agnimitra II and the recently known kings like Prajapatimitra and Vijayamitra.
