Ancient ; Gupta Dynasty ; Narasimhagupta (Baladitya) (510-530 CE), Gold Dinar, “Archer” type, Obv: the king standing facing left, nimbate, holding a longbow in his left hand and an arrow in his right, a Garuda standard in the left field, the Brahmi legend ?Nara” below the king’s arm and the letter “Gre” between king’s feet, Rev: the goddess Lakshmi, nimbate, facing forward and seated in the padmasana posture on a lotus, holding a diadem in her right hand and a lotus in her left hand, whose stem is coming from inside the hand resting on her thigh, a tamgha in the left field (Variant of Altekar.
