Note : Chandragupta Maurya defeated Seleucus Nicator, a general of the Greek King, Alexander. Megasthenes was the Greek ambassador sent by Seleucus Nicator in c. 302 B.C. to the court of the Indian king Chandragupta of the Mauryan Empire.
