Note : This was one of the novel innovations of Mohd bin Tughlaq (MBT) that became the mainstay of the Delhi Sultanate coins subsequently. The Billon Tanka was introduced in AH 727 ie within the 3rd Year of MBT’s reign, replacing the earlier silver tanka’s in circulation. “SAVE HERITAGE SAVE COINS”
