Obverse: Lion-faced Lord Narasimha (reincarnation of Lord Vishnu) with visible & clear depiction of Lion-face (usually weakly struck or partially seen on flan on most of the occasions), seated facing, holding a chakra in each upper hand.
Reverse: Kanarese legend in three line: Kanthirava/Narasa/Raja. Legends on these coins are always degenerated & illegible.
P.S: Most of the Wodeyar “Kanthirava” Fanams have a stylized, unrecognizable lion’s face. However this particular specimen shows a clear lion’s face, in addition to a clear chakra in Lord Narasimha’s right hand.
