Sagar was conquered by the Marathas in early 18th century. Around 1735 the Peshwa appointed Gobind Rao to govern the territories. Who was followed by his sons. The Maratha mint started functioning in 1784 (AH 1198) “SAVE HERITAGE SAVE COINS”
