Note : King George’s Medical College (KGMU) in Lucknow was founded in 1905 on the initiative of Raja Sir Tasadduq Rasul Khan to commemorate King George V’s visit to India. The foundation stone was laid in 1906, the first session started in 1911, and the hospital was completed in 1913. It initially affiliated with Allahabad University before being attached to Lucknow University in 1921.
