They ruled the region called Nolambavadi with their capital at Hemavati, now in Ananthpur district of present-day Andhra Pradesh. They were perhaps one the earliest dynasties to reintroduce the punch mark technique on gold coins. The title ‘Nolamba’ was used by multiple kings.
The rulers of the Nolamba dynasty are commonly known as ‘Nolambavadi’.
