Post-Mauryan independent dynasts, Vidarbha region (c.250-200 BC) – iron-rich alloyed coin of ‘elephant’ type, not listed in PAIC, Obv: Elephant walking to right with arrow coming out of its back. Rev: Standing human figure ; Very rare ; Weight : 4.64 Grams

The iron-rich material of this interesting series of coins was probably sourced from iron ore belt to the south/east of Vidarbha in the Wainganga valley.
